Domestic Medical Supply Coalition ‘Face Masks & PPE Immediate Availability in Los Angeles’
LOS ANGELES – On April 7, 2020, Mayor Eric Garcetti announced that all Angelenos should wear face masks when in public. DMS Coalition has ramped up production to meet the anticipated urgent demand head-on.
Mayor Garcetti is signing an executive order to take effect Friday, April 10, 2020 requiring employees at non-medical businesses such as grocery stores, taxis, hotels, restaurants and others that remain open to wear cloth face coverings over their mouths and noses while at work. Employers will be required to provide the masks or reimburse employees who buy their own. Customers at those businesses will also be required to wear face coverings while at the business.
“You will need to cover your face," Garcetti said. "If you're not covering your face by Friday morning, an essential business can refuse you service.”
“Thankfully our leaders are recognizing the urgent need for significant action to protect everyone and are doubling our efforts with increased production”, said Crystal Solorzano, Founder and Chairwoman of DMS Coalition. Further stating that our nation’s mantra must be, “Secure the Future, Protect our Past, Wear your Mask!”
Alex Berenson, CEO of DMS Coalition, shared: “Our overall goal and mission is to provide every person a face mask that will keep them safe in public and our coalition partners continue to work around the clock to achieve this critical need.”
